WordCamp Europe is one of the world’s largest WordPress conferences with around 3,000 attendees. I was hosting one of the two stages, the Andromeda track on the Saturday morning. My primary job was to be the voice of the room and a liasion between the speakers, attendees and organisers.
On stage I introduced the speakers, handled the Q&A and ensured the room ran on time. Aside from that my job was to also to inform the audience of key messages around the event and generally set the tone and feel for the room, eg friendly, inclusive and welcoming.
